Lecture Demonstration by Legend Lin Dance Theatre of Taiwan

Based on methods originally developed by artistic director Lin Lee-chen, members of the Legend Lin Dance Theatre of Taiwan demonstrate the six fundamental principles they use for training the body: tranquillity, stability, detente, calmness, graduality and strength. Starting with the spine, the dancers will sculpt shapes focusing on different areas of the body while centring their being. They stand in repose, move, then fall into repose again. In search of the infinite, participants will tap the deepest reaches of their soul together with the dancers through exploring excerpts from Song of Pensive Beholding. A rare chance to fathom meditation and tranquillity through dance.

Speaker: Lin Lee-chen (Artistic Director)
