Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra and Chinese Orchestra of the Jiangsu Performing Arts Group

A joint performance by the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra and Chinese Orchestra of the Jiangsu Performing Arts Group to form a 100-strong Chinese orchestra. Yan Huichang and Wang Aikang will use a variety of musical forms to illustrate the legendary life of Dr. Sun Yat-sen and the turbulent era in which he lived, and to explore the historical importance of the 1911 Revolution which he led. The concert will also feature National Class One Performer and huqin virtuoso, Song Fei, who will perform the world première of a work for erhu and orchestra.
