Booking Guide

Tickets for all programmes in the World Cultures Festival 2013 – Lasting Legacies of Eastern Europe are available at URBTIX from 6 September onwards. All box offices accept cash, credit cards (American Express, VISA, Diners Club or MasterCard) and China UnionPay cards (in Hong Kong currency only). Each patron can purchase up to a maximum of 40 tickets per transaction (including a maximum of 4 tickets per workshop, masterclass or backstage tour). One hour before the performance, tickets will only be available at the performance venue.

Tickets for all performing arts programmes, films, workshops, masterclass and backstage tour are available on the internet. There is a service fee of HK$7 per ticket, up to a maximum of HK$23 per transaction. Only American Express, VISA, Diners Club or MasterCard are accepted for payment. Patrons can purchase up to a maximum of 40 tickets per transaction (including a maximum of 4 tickets per workshop, masterclass or backstage tour). Please make sure that your name, e-mail address, postal address, telephone and credit card details are clearly filled in. Bookings will be confirmed online as well as by e-mail. Customers may choose to collect tickets at any Cityline Ticket Dispensing Machines or at the sales counter at any URBTIX outlets upon presentation of the credit card used for internet booking, or by mail to the customer’s designated address. Mail delivery is available until 7 days before a performance. An extra mailing fee will be charged for overseas or registered mailing of orders. All service and mailing fees collected for internet booking are non-refundable.

Telephone Credit Card Booking Hotline: 2111 5999

Patrons can order tickets via telephone booking with payment charged to your credit card accounts. There is a service fee of HK$7 per ticket, up to a maximum of HK$23 per transaction. Discount Schemes

• Concessionary Discounts for Full-time Students, Senior Citizens, People with Disabilities and the Minder and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance Recipients*

Half-price tickets are available for full-time students, senior citizens aged 60 or above, people with disabilities and the minder and Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) recipients. Tickets for full-time students and CSSA recipients are available on a first-come-first-served basis^. Concessionary ticket holders must produce evidence of their identity or age upon admission.


• Group Booking Discount#

10% discount for each purchase of 4–9 full-price tickets for performing arts / film programmes;
15% discount for each purchase of 10–19 full-price tickets for performing arts / film programmes;
20% discount for each purchase of 20 or more full-price tickets for performing arts / film programmes.


• Package Booking Discount#

10% discount on full-price tickets for each purchase of 3–4 different performing arts / film programmes;
15% discount on full-price tickets for each purchase of 5 or more different performing arts / film programmes.


• Package Booking Discount for Uncle Vanya and Persona. Marilyn

20% discount for each purchase of full-price tickets for both Uncle Vanya and Persona. Marilyn.


• HK Phil Club Bravo Member Discount

15% discount on full-price tickets of Eastern Europe Postcards by Hong Kong Philharmonic with valid membership cards.

Special Notes

•  All performing arts programmes welcome audiences aged 6 and above (aged 18 and above for Persona. Marilyn only).
•  Each ticket admits one person only.
•  Patrons can enjoy only one of the above discount schemes for the purchase of each ticket. Please inform the box office staff at the time of purchase.
•  For purchase of each concessionary ticket for people with disabilities, the customer can purchase one ticket with the same concession for a minder.
•  The price of each discount ticket will be rounded up to the nearest dollar.
•  The Hong Kong Film Archive box office only provides counter sales and ticket collection services for all film programmes.
•  There are no URBTIX counter sales and ticket collection services at the Hong Kong Science Museum. Customers who chose ticket collection service for events at the Museum should collect tickets at any Cityline Ticket Dispensing Machines or at the sales counter of any URBTIX outlets at other locations in advance to avoid delay in admission.
•  A limited number of standing tickets are available 30 minutes before the start of sold-out film programmes at the Hong Kong Film Archive and Hong Kong Science Museum.
•  Programmes will normally be cancelled when typhoon signal No. 8 or above, or the Black Rainstorm Warning is issued or remains in effect 3 hours before the performance starts. Ticket holders are advised to visit www.worldfestival.gov.hk or www.lcsd.gov.hk for details of programme schedule changes, or call 2370 1044 after normal office hours are resumed for refund arrangements.
•  The presenter reserves the right to substitute artists and change the programme should unavoidable circumstances make it necessary.
•  The content of Festival programmes does not represent the views of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.
•  Audience members are strongly advised to arrive punctually. Latecomers will only be admitted when there is a suitable break in the performance or at the intermission.
